We have a wonderful group of teachers who truly love children. We are a family at Little Explorers and operate out of our home in Pittsboro NC. We are located just a few minutes from the heart of Pittsboro and Briar Chapel.
Bobbie Infant/Toddler specialist
I'm Bobbie a new mother of one crazy little guy. I'm been working with Lauren for over 4 years while attending CCCC to obtain an associates degree in Early Childhood Education. I have 5+ years of experience working in Licensed Child care in NC. I have almost completed my degree and plan to continue my education specializing in special needs children. I have enjoyed watching so many children grow in my care and can't wait to meet more little ones each year.
My name is Lauren and I have been the owner of Little Explorers in my home for 9 years. I have worked in Child care in NC for 15 years. I am a mother of 4 and am passionate about Children as well as the families of the children in my care. In college I studied physics and engineering at both NC Pembroke and NC A&T in Greensboro. After having my first child I changed my path and chose to make a difference in the lives of children.
Diane AKA Gommy PreK co-teacher
My name is Diane but the kids all call me Gommy. I started working with Little Explorers to be closer to my grandchildren and since retiring I have taken on a larger roll as a co-teacher for the Prekindergarten class. I graduated from Southeast MO State University in Cape Girardeau with a bachelor of science degree in Elementary education minoring in English and art education. I started teaching first grade after graduating and continued teaching for 18+ years in both public and private schools. I have experience teaching in Kindergarten and Preschool education for 6 years. I now have the pleasure of working alongside some amazing teachers and families.
